Weight Watchers Weigh-in: Week 10

OK here we go again.  I was up again this week.  I went to my Weight Watchers meeting kinda expecting it so was I that surprised: No.  This week my hubby and I celebrated our birthdays, our anniversary and his new job. How do we celebrate? Well being the calories junkies we are we did it with food. What food did I have to celebrate during the week? Well here are just some of the things I indulged in:

Shrimp Po’ Boy by Danno1
  • Po Boy Fried Shrimp Sandwich
  • Stuffed crust pizza
  • Stuffed crust pizza (this is here twice because I had it twice)
  • Dairy Queen ice cream

I made some horrible choices. I am realizing that I need to start associating my celebrations with non-food items.  So I was up this week but only by about a pound**.  I thought for sure it would have been more but getting out in the sunshine with my boys must have helped counter act some of the junk.

I enjoyed myself but I also realize it is ok to indulge once in a while but I need to limit myself. The po boy should have been enough. I didn’t need to get pizza and ice cream also this week. I completely consumed my extra points and I have never done that before.

So my goal is to limit my celebrations and try to celebrate in other ways.  My next big day is Mother’s Day.  I have signed up to do a 5k walk/run for the Cure. I am so excited about it. I can’t wait to get out and walk for a great cause.

On to another week and another day.  This lifestyle change takes steps, realizations and so much more.  I am not on a diet or looking for a quick fix I am on a mission to change my relationship with food and exercise.  I am on a mission to lead a healthy lifestyle and well I am on my way to do so….

** We are a Compensated Affiliate of Weight Watchers because we believe in the plan and what it helps men and women achieve every day. People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1-2 pounds a week. **
